Throughout the lineages of its custodians, the art has further improved, continually making it more dynamic whilst keeping the concept of its original teachings.
One only has to look at the school motto which has been handed down since the inception of the art. It has been taught to every student in each generation.
A new practitioner starting in this art will learn "Respect", train "To be a Good Person” and lastly: “Kung Fu”.
The Chinese Kung Fu Academy offers a 4 week Introductory Course to those who wish to find out more about our style.
(2 sessions x 1.5 hrs weekly training sessions over a calendar month)
After this period the practitioner may apply to join the school proper. Membership will be by invitation.
Weapons in the Tong Long system included – long stick / staff, walking stick, tridents, butterfly knifes, broadsword and the tong long sword.
The new practitioner will be introduced to the Tong Long System gradually.
Each level will present a new challenge to the practitioner – there are new concepts to learn, and new energy to acquire.
Upon reaching and awarded his/her discipleship, the practitioner will be presented with greater challenges, one of such challenge is the concept of “Qi” or “Qi Gung” and its applications.
Reaching Master level is a great personal achievement for a practitioner, at this level there are greater challenges for the practitioner, not only in his/her own training, but also as a leader, coach and as a teacher figure to motivate, teach and guide his/her students not only to be a good fighter but also to be a good person.
To sum up - to be a successful Tong Long practitioner, the qualities that he/she must possess are :Humbleness, Dedication and 'Be a Good Person', which would make a different in your life and along the way achieve something for yourself.
